News for the Week of May 19th...

“SHARE YOUR STORY” & “PRAY REQUESTS” GET IT MOVING!

Do you ever feel like it’s you against the world? Do you feel like the only one trying to seek God’s greater plan for your life? As a church, we need to come together in unity. Are you going through a tough situation? Difficult circumstance? By posting on our prayer wall, you allow others to begin praying with you and for you! We also encourage you to pray for others on the prayer wall as well. We need to share our stories and memories, as well as pray together. By sharing your story with others, you have the unique opportunity to share how God has worked in your life. This could lead others to decide to follow Him! Will you spend ten minutes today to pray for others? Share a request or story?

NEW SERIES “HEROES” IS OFF TO A GREAT START!

Last week we began a new series titled “Unlikely Heroes: Who you could be will surprise you.” When we take a step of faith, we set ourselves up to see God move in huge ways. Catalyst Church has been taking steps of faith through prayer and diligence as we continue to move toward our new location. Some weeks it feels like we will never reach our destination, but God is bringing us closer each day as he prepares us for the next chapter of our ministry. Will you continue to pray that God reveals the impossible?

Will you be the next Unlikely Hero? Join us Sunday to discover who you could be...

News for the Week of April 21st:

Mark it on your calendars May 5th we will NOT be meeting at Keigwin, due to scheduling conflicts. We will however, be having our service at Snow School (299 Wadsworth Street Middletown, CT).  We will have just ONE service at 10AM on that day. Make sure to join us for an amazing Sunday as we worship God!

Thank You! We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to those who helped provide donations for Rita Flynn and the team that went on a medical missions trip to Columbia! Your donations were a big help in bringing proper medical supplies and treatment. During the course of the week they were able to treat over 600 people, provide each patient with toothbrush and toothpaste, and leave supplies with the village medical staff!! Thank you so much for leading the way in generosity!!

If you would like to hear more about the trip, the team will be giving a presentation on April 25th, 6PM at the:

ARB Small Conference Room
UCONN Health Center
263 Farmington Ave
Farmington, CT 06032

Rita has opened this invitation up to those at Catalyst as a way to show how your donation helped people across the world!! If you have questions about the event, please email Rita raflynn@loyola.edu

Have a great rest of the week!

Medical Supplies for Colombia

One of our church members is going on a medical and dental missions trip to South America from March 21-31. She is going with a group from El Camino Academy and will be hosted by Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Her group will be serving the medical needs of the people of Columbia.

As you go about your weekend, would you consider picking up a few supplies to help this team meet the physical needs of these people? Even something as small as dental floss will go a long way!

Here’s a list of supplies that are needed: vitamins, glucometer, hemoglobin meter, urinalysis dip sticks, pregnancy tests, malaria test kids, rapid strep tests, reading glasses, roll gauze, surgical tape, gloves, tooth paste, and dental floss.

You can bring your donated supplies to Catalyst Church, THIS Sunday, at either the 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. service. Thank you!

New Location Update

Hello Catalyst friends and family! Here is a quick update on our new location...

We recently signed a contract that would allow us to lease a property for 3-5 years with an option to buy. After signing the contract we moved into a period of 60 days (during this 60 days we can back out but the landlord cannot). We have been using that 60 days to do several things. One thing we wanted to do is see if we could raise enough funds to reasonable and responsibly move forward. Another thing we wanted to do in that 60 day window was to get the towns approval on several items and to finalize some estimates.

Here is the GREAT news...

We are off to a great start and successfully raised the money we felt we needed to in order to comfortably move forward financially! We thought we would have 60 days to raise an initial goal of $50,000. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to let anyone at Catalyst know about this 60 day period until we were already down to 42 days. Talk about making things even more impossible! If that weren't enough, we missed a few Sundays during that 60 day-turn 42 day period.

We needed people at Catalyst to really step up and we needed nothing short of a miracle! It is so exciting to see God's people step up and to see God do the miraculous! During this small time period you actually gave over $53,000. Thank you Catalyst for making this next step possible! God is really doing amazing things in and through you!!!

What's Next...

We have actually been given an extension on our 60 day period of due diligence.  The next major obstacle is parking and traffic. The land owner was a little late getting us some things we needed in order to formulate a site plan. Because they were late, we still haven't heard back from the town. Because they were at fault, they are giving us an extension until we hear back from the town. There is a small chance the town may want us to create a new entrance/exit and possibly a new traffic light. If this is required the costs would be astronomical and would certainly kill any chance of us moving into this new location.

Another area of concern is a sprinkler system. If we need a sprinkler system that would most likely make it hard for us to raise or justify the cost.

What Can You Do?

Keep praying! We have seen God do the miraculous and we have seen some amazing doors open to us. We need a few more doors to open and we still have a long way to go financially. God has been faithful to this point and we believe as long as his people remain faithful to Him that He will provide the miracles. Would you pray like you have never prayed before? We are getting close and that likely means Satan will try to attack like never before. Let's join and pray like never before and watch the miracles unfold!!!

Thank you Catalyst for doing whatever it takes!!!
