Common Questions
Are jeans evil?
OK, so no one has really asked this yet, but our answer would be we hope not, or we're in trouble. At Catalyst Church, there is no dress code. We believe that God cares more about the condition of your heart than your outward appearance. Feel free to dress up, or come in jeans and your favorite t-shirt--whatever makes you comfortable.
What are your Sunday services like?
Awesome! Let's face it, we've got a lot of competition--you could be out shopping, golfing, catching up on yardwork or, better yet, sleeping in. That's why we aim to make our Sunday mornings the best hour of your week. Our services are upbeat and exciting. The music sounds like something you'd put on your ipod. The messages are practical, inspiring and easy to understand. We believe church should be life-changing and fun--at Catalyst Church, it is!
Do you have kids' programs?
Yes! It's called
CatalystKIDS. We offer creative, exciting programs for children from birth - 5th grade during each service. Our loving volunteers teach biblical values that will help you build a strong foundation of faith for your kids to grow on.
Will I be singled out if I'm new?
Absolutely not. You are our guest. Each Sunday, there are lots of people just like you who are checking out Catalyst Church for the first time. Our goal is for you to have the best experience possible. So you can feel free to be anonymous.
What kind of church are you?
We're a church focused on the mission of helping people find their way back to God. We are nondenominational so people of all backgrounds are welcome. Because we care about a lot more than ourselves, we will always be a sending church (that means starting new churches and sending people to help).
How is Catalyst Church organized?
We are a staff led church that operates with checks and balances. We have a Board of Directors made up of pastors from other established churches who provide Godly counsel and direction on all major decisions. The day to day operations are run by our staff with the support of our volunteer teams. In other words, we aren't going to be voting on the color of the carpet, but we do place a high value on teamwork and accountability.
How do I become a member?
We don't want you to "join the church" so your name can be on a list. We want you to experience the awesome adventure of finding real life in Christ and helping others find it too. Our end goal is not for you to become a member; we want you to love God, love people and prove it! Right now, that means Getting Plugged In and helping make the dream happen. Soon, we'll have small groups and classes to mobilize people, but now is your chance to get in on the beginning of an incredible ride. Come get involved!
