Summer 2 Remember
This summer we want to be a catalyst for life change in our area! We have some pretty huge goals that will make Jesus famous this summer, and offer hope to those around us! Here are 5 huge goals that will make this a Summer-2-Remember!
- Baptize 50 people LIVE at Catalyst by the end of the summer. We already have 25 people ready, we just need a portable baptistry! Im pumped because we have found something that will work AND its 85% cheaper than most portable baptistries. To purchase this baptistry, we needed to raise $350 We did it!!! The baptistry has been ordered! We can't wait to baptize live at Catalyst Church this Summer.
- Share 12 stories of life change. Stories encourage others who are facing similar situations AND they encourage others to continue to press on in service for Jesus. We would love to share stories in a fresh and relevant way. For $250 we would be able to purchase lights and other equipment, all of which would help us to make public the great things God is doing in and through the people of Catalyst! We did it!!! The equipment can now be ordered! We can't wait to share these stories live at Catalyst Church.
- Purchase 200 Bibles and "Black Boxes" full of resources that will help any new Christian get into God's Word. We have seen over 50 people give their lives to Jesus at Catalyst, and we would love to equip and provide resources to all those who will trust Jesus as Savior in our second year. For $520, we could have 200 Bibles and Black Boxes full of resources available for any decisions people make at Catalyst Church!!! We did it!!! The Black Boxes, Bibles and Resources have been ordered! Most of which will be available at Catalyst THIS week!!! Thanks for helping.
- Prepare 300 Guest Packages to help guests take their Next Steps with Jesus, and at Catalyst Church. We have seen over 300 first time guests at Catalyst in our first 10 months, I'd love to be a part of a church that could resource and equip every guest to take the Next Steps in their walk with Christ! You can help us do this by donating towards our 300 Guest Packages goal of $750. We did it! We will now be able to give away 300 Guest Packages that will help people connect to our great God and in our great church!
- Community Outreach (summer 2010): We would LOVE to do at least 3 things this summer...
1) Back-2-School Bash - We want to give out between 150-250 backpacks full of supplies. We also want to provide free inflatable games, hot dogs, and water bottles to encourage and support the parents and teachers in our community as they kickoff the new school year.
2) Movie Night At The Park - many families need a break, we can provide that AND free family fun (a movie on our big screens, inflatable games, hot dogs, water bottles, popcorn, etc.)
3) We would also like to hand out water bottles at one of Middletown's largest summer gatherings to serve people and help get word out about Catalyst Church!
